I'm having a couple issues I hope you can help me with.

1: Idle surging

Seems to be random. I'll be sitting at the lights and the car will be surging between 1000 rpm and 1200 rpm but it's not constant. I'll stop the car restart and idle is normal at 1000 rpm. Stop at the gas station and surging returns. Have 65mm throttle body and TPS sensor is new. AEM wideband shows A/F surging between 13 and 16.

2: Hanging at 2000 rpm

Once the car is warm, it will hang at 2000 rpm when cruising. If I step on the clutch at 3k it'll drop to idle but if I'm cruising at 2k at hit the clutch it will stay at 2k. If cruising at 2500 or higher and release gas pedal in gear it will drop to 2k and then stay there. Wideband AEM shows A/F goes lean and then and 2k it will rise to 12.5 to 13. I find myself having to put car in gear and force it to below 2k so it will drop to idle.

Engine mods.

Eagle H-Beam rods
Focus Central 8.1/1 Pistons
Focus Central Stainless Valves
42lb Ford Racing Injectors
Crower Cams 283 duration, 420 Lift
Crower Springs and Titanium retainers
Head ported and polished

The turbo has been removed until we can rebuild the new system but had the same issues with the turbo on.

any suggestions???

MAF has been removed and replaced with a MAP sensor.

Sounds like something wrong with the close-loop-idle. It's a pretty hard to use feature, and you might have more success turning it off.

Email me your map and I'll see if I can figure out what's wrong.
