Emblems turned out pretty good. Hood, not so much. Good effort but I think it needs some touch-up, sanding, clear, and polish. Right idea, just needs a bit more attention to detail.

Hood looks rattle canned, probably should redo it. Otherwise the rest of the car looks good!

 

Emblems look sick! And I hate emblems. Lol. As the others have said the hood is a good idea, just poorly executed. Any plans on following the lines on the bumper with the stripe?

 

its not rattle canned its plasti-dip! lol and same with the emblems. not sure if i want the hood permanent yet. plasti-dip is totally removable without harming the paint. but if i decide to do it permanent it will be done by a professional fosho. and what do you mean by the lines on the bumper. the lines by the side blinkers?

Yea the lines that come off the side markers.

 

On a budget? Roll the flat black paint on the hood!

Heres the hood on my 08. I just need one or two more cans of paint and then I can sand a clear it.

 

I like the concept of the hood. But you should either roll it on or have a shop spray it if you decide to go permanent.

 

im pritty sure i will go permanent with it. and i think ill have a shop do it. if i were to roll it on what paint would i use and how would i clear coat it?

the lines on the side markers seem like they would be a challenge to do.....but i think ill take in on. thanks for the idea.

the plasti-dip will come right off of the hood.

I'd just get a piece of satin finish vinyl. That way it's not permanent.

 

i was thinkin about getting the vinyl but i didnt want to wait for it. the plastic dip hold up pretty well. i just cant pressure wash it.
