Pics before euro transformation *Updated Pics Post 19*

I got my euro tail lights in the other day and just got them installed and decided to give my baby a wash also. I figured I would take some pictures before I got everything installed for a nice transition. These are pictures before I get my facelift/ST170 front bumper, euro bumper and In.Pro's installed. I am hoping to get them, paint them and install them before AFN.

Other things that will go into play are as follows.
RS wing painted and installed.
Door handles painted.
Rear deck line painted.
ST170 Intake cowl
Radio bezel painted to match gauge bezel.
Stock mirrors painted.
ST170 upper and lower grills.
Lower euro lights with the euro bumper and Facelift fogs for the front bumper.

Those tails look great Bret!

I've always liked your car, very clean; the tails look great! Can't wait to see how the euro transformation looks in cd silver! Btw, rear backup in both rear fogs or just one?

I decided to go more oem and get just one. I know a lot of the euro guys are going with 2 reverse but I figured I would keep just the one. Thinking of picking up euro headlight switch and making the rear fog a working thing like SVT3658 showed me a couple days ago when I was down there visiting him.
I have another thing in store when the in.pros come in also. I did not know that the upper grill has a separate cover that can be painted so I am going to paint that silver and do a change up from time to time by using some european ST170 covers painted silver in conjunction with them and straight black with no cover for the in.pros.

So now there are 2 set's of those tails in NC ...LOL I don't know if i want back up lights or not.....I figured i got a deal my tails from the UK was $18 a piece with the pigtails...& $60 shipping..and they were here in 6 days..:)

Car still looks good...I sorta miss the mid wing....

Looks nice man glad you got it figured out.

Me and a guy from FFOC just traded a set. All I paid was about $45 in shipping. The spare lights cost me around $17 apiece off of ebay. They did not look as good as my stock ones so I sent him mine. He was awesome enough to send me all the wiring, plugs and blubs to boot.

Just got word from my seller. Stuff is coming in on Thursday. Its really going to be close. I have to go to Montana from the 20th-25th. That means I only have a week to have it painted. Wondering if I am going to have it done by then. grr. I dont want to rush anything.

Don't then :screwy:
You'll be much happier later...trust me. There will be other shows. My euro transformation took three weeks by my body guy, plus a lot of these parts don't just 'plug-n-play', they take massaging.
Take your time! On that note, I can't wait to see your car when it's done :D
...but I will...

It's going to be sweet... 5-door Euro action! :D

Your transformation reminds me of my own. Taking a stock focus and turning it into a fairly aggressive "tuner style" look. Then turning around and completely changing the look to "clean Euro". Looking forward to finally getting to see your car in person at Carlisle. I'm glad you decided not to rush it with all the Euro parts. You will be glad you waited when you can take your time with the install instead of having all the pressure to get it all on the car in time for the show. So do you have any more small changes planed before Carlisle?

The ST170 intake cowl will be going on along with the ST170 upper grill. Everything else will be a major change. Repainting mirror caps, painting door handles, hatch strip, RS wing and front and rear bumpers. I am also working with a guy in the UK to get me some EGR side skirts. I will most likely be waiting to paint everything once the skirts come in so I do not have to worry about painting them after everything else.
I think I am going to go with what slocussvt did after talking with him and blending the ST170 bumper. It is still up in the air. I like the trim lines but I also like the blended look.

Here are some more pics after unwrapping everything tonight.
Before anyone mentions, the weird looking mark on the front bumper is only some residue left over from some tape.
Shot of everything.

Brett you suck!

I am definitely jealous of all your new Euro goodies, hopefully they're all on and painted for Carlisle!

When I see your car again next week it is going to look totally different from when I saw it a few weeks ago

I dont think they are going on for Carlisle. :( I am going to wait for my EGR side skirts from the UK before everything gets painted. Cut off time was just too short to have them ready. I probably could get all these parts to my painter before then but I still need to get my door handles/rear hatch trim off and sand down the RS wing. There is some stuff going on at work though and it looks like I have to work on Saturday so time is just too limited to do everything.

when the transformation is all done...

it will look stock
lol. Close, it will have the Reiger lips and EGR side skirts though.

i ahve aquestion for the OP. what sockets did you use in the euro tails. mine didnt come with any sockets for the lamps. or do you know a place where i could get them
The guy that I got them from was super cool, the lights he got for me were clipped where the wires started from the car, so I did not have to look for any. I just cut my sockets off at the bulbs and wired these in. He is also the one that is buying the side skirts from an ebay.uk seller and shipping them over to me.

Copy cat, lol, j/k. Can't wait to see it all done.
 Hey what can I say, what looks good looks good. I am actually just doing what I wanted to do back in 2004 but was too lazy and nervous to go through with it.
