Well, I got pleasant surprise. I did not realize the Sport package included rear disc brakes. And since I assumed they were drums I never looked closely until my son-in-law pointed them out. :D

Nice, I'm still amazed that Ford still has drums at all though.

I'm surprised any car still uses drums. In fact I'm a proponent of electric brakes.

It would seem that a disk swap is doable fairly easy on the new cars here (famous last words), and I'd like to swap them on when the time comes; the only car I've ever owned with 4wd is a 1986 BMW. Why in the 21st century are there still vehicles with drum brakes? They're obviously still wicked cheap (and, years ago, drums had better "one stop" stopping power - not sure that would still hold true these days...).

Ugh.
