Any idea what the US spec bumpers look like?

I would definetly look at the mps version, if it came in a 2-door. But most likely, my next car will be a 350z.

I like the looks of it but I'll definitely be keeping my beloved little Focus.

Just to clarify...AFAIK this car will be only be available in the 2 body styles shown above. No 3-door variant.

It is Mazda's world car. There are virtually no differences between the car in all markets (other then the obvious country-specific things).

It will be called the 3 in ALL markets except JDM where it will be callet the Axela.

Also, I would not expect to see a MazdaSpeed version for at least 2 years.

Standard features with respective trims


GS trim:
- 2.3l, 160hp, 151lb-ft, variable valve timing
- 4-wheel discs
- ABS with EBFD
- P205/55R16 alloys
- AM/FM CD player with clock and 4 speakers
- tilt and telescopic steering wheel
- mechanical HVAC controls
- dual front airbags
- adjustable rear seat headrests
- floor mats
- illuminated ignition key
- fog lights
- power windows
- two-tone sport type cloth seats
- rain-sensing intermittent wipers
- auto light control
- steering wheel audio controls
- map lamps
- keyless entry
- cargo management system
- sporty bumpers
- side sill extensions
- body coloured grille
- carbon-like finish on center panel


GT trim (all GS plus below):
- AM/FM CD player with clock and 4 speakers, 2 tweeters
- 3-spoke leather wrapped steering wheel
- leather shift knob
- anti-theft alarm
- P205/50R17 alloys
- cruise control, buttons on steering wheel
- body coloured rear spoiler

The most fully loaded car is a GT with moonroof, air-conditioning, and leather (leather is black-only, not 2-tone).

Colours:
- black mica
- sunlight silver metallic
- titanium gray metallic
- indigo blue metallic
- velocity red metallic
- sunset orange metallic
- arctic white

Transmissions (for all trims):
- 5-speed manual standard, 4-speed sport mode auto optional

Coefficient of drag is poor:
- .340 for 16-inch wheel versions
- .346 for 17-inch wheel versions

No HID's, no tire-pressure sensors, no automatic-climate controls.

N. American Job #1 is scheduled for Sep. 16, 2003, sedan and hatch coming together.

Remember: This is Canadian only, for USA it'll probably be i and s trims.

im really diggin the hatch/wagon


the sedan didnt come out too bad......i will be moving upto something more upscale for my next ride and i will still keep my focus sedan (my side project)

i like the 4 wheel disc brakes standard option.

engine specs look tasty...
do we have a curb weight for it yet?

i'll take a hatch in titanium gray metallic, GT model, with moonroof, leather, and AC.
