I'd like to see some good auto-knobs.

 

I recall that it cost about $250, but I can't remember for the life of me where I bought it (online). I believe it was Custom Auto Trim, but they do not carry this line an longer. I have seen it elsewhere for about the same price. I'll keep my eyes open and let you know if I find it.

I spent the longest time trying to find a knob I like for a reasonable price, then while browsing the NECO forums I fell in love. Im going to try and order a Cougar shift knob and e-brake handle from my ford dealer today. Hopefull there is no fitment problems.

What do you guys think

lordking: No problems with the Cougar shift knob. I have one on my car and it's just remove replace(same trans and all). Looks lots better! As for the e-brake handle, I don't know if any fit issues exist.

 

Yippeee. I just ordered the cougar knob from my dealer. Should be in by friday. Total was $66 cdn. I looked into the e-brake handle but they wanted like $75 cdn. I decided I'd just paint the brake release button silver on the stock handle.

 

e-brake won't be a problem either. I've heard of peeps on NECO that have put on an aftermarket Focus ebreak handle. Do some searching on the NECO forums you might find something there.

I love the newer Cougar interiors of the 01/02's. Makes me jealous with my 00. Oh well. It's gone in the fall anyway...

That is rather cryptic. Just an off hand guess but I'm gonna say that SEL LVR stands for selection lever, as in gear selection lever. Maybe?

Maybe CONT is short for contour, since this knob probably fits the MTX75 in the contour also. I don't see why it wouldn't be listed as a cougar part though.

Yes, it is the leather manual shift knob for a Mercury Cougar, and the price is great.

They currently have to get it from one of their remote warehouses so there will be a little delay though.

i too just ordered the cougar shift knob from fordpartsonline.com and it was a very good deal. i believe 29.99 before shipping. i think it'll look good and match the leather wrapped steering wheel better. i kinda like that matching control surfaces look. check it out, it's a great deal! beats the price of a momo!!!
