yeah subject says it all i'm thinkign of buying a new shift knob and just curious whats out there for automatic

really you can use whatever you want.. it's just a matter of the OD switch.

i was thinking of getting a new one for style, but i'm an OD junkie and dig where they have it now. might do some kinda overlay or something in the near future. maybe silver in keeping with my interior theme.

i just did mine a few days ago. not aftermarket but it really makes it look better IMO.

blackfoci: yea thats all just the stock pieces painted. didnt take more than 2 hours to do each and it just adds some color to the car. it looks like alot more color than it really is since i have red seat covers on and the red floor mats.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">That looks just so Cool! I really wonder how you did the seats. Are they from an SVT? I know SVT does not come with automatic. Are the seats leather or just very well covered 'parchment trim'? Got me wonderin'. nice job.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">i have visited this topic back in the day...if u search u'll find it where a bunch of autoJETTERS and i reviews some different knobs, and unfortunetly that one does not FIT, not because of the OD, it just does not fit...the only one that has been popular is the RSversion one where to change gears u push down on the knob(spring loaded) looks alright but u still have to move the OD button...
what am in the midst of is a custom set-up since im just not going to cell my focus and just always keep it as a project car and get new cars along the way...im fabricating a shifter surround with a CNC machine (at my dads shop) that will have separate the shifter and gear position with a boot over the shifter (that is going to be shortened) and a piece of glass over the gear indicator...it'll look somewhat like the new benz E class set-up to give u a visual...should be done with it soon so i'll let you know...

Just installed mine today. I've had the RSVersion knob since December, and just never got around to installing it. So, today was the day! I shortened the stick about 1.5", and rerouted the OD button to between the cup holders. For now theres just a piece of blue electrical tape over the RS badge, untill I change it.

If you look carefully on the drivers side, you can see where I peeled off the dreaded "R Racing", but I have'nt done the other side yet.

^^^ ha...same floor mats as me! and yes i would rather have the floor mats in than ruin my carpet by tracking massive amounts of **** into my car. and no the seats arent from an SVT at all (i wish they were) but they are actually 20 dollar seat covers from sam's. they actually fit awesome and protect my seats so i dont care what other people think!

ive added a boot to take up the gap. only probelm with this shifter is that it costs around $120. and it does have od button.
