Is there a major difference? Sorry if I sound ignorant about this (cause I am). CAI just a tube and a filter so the engine can draw in colder air, right? So theoretically a universal one would be just as efficient as a pre-fab one, right?

I ask because the diff is $60 vs $200+.

Thanks for your help.

The air filter makes a big difference.
The angles make a difference.
The size affects the performance.
Randy can steer you towards his CAI better than I can :p

the biggest factor with foci is the MAF sensor. You will find all focus specific intakes either are two piece and retain the factory meter or have a tapered section that retains the same diameter.

The price difference is mostly due to the filter and it's quality or lack of quality. And warranty of the kit. Also, fit and finish. And don't forget, being properly designed and manufactured not to throw the Check Engine Light or other DTC trouble codes. If you don't care much for any of the above, the cheap route will suffice in most cases.
