Problems With \"R\" Side Skirt....

I put on the Ford GFX side skirts this past year, and I am having problems with the "R" side. It keeps on coming loose on the top where the double sided tape is. I took it off once already, took off all the old tape & reapplied new tape, put it back on and it is doing it again. The "L" side is fine, have yet to have a problem with it. What can I use in conjuction with the tape or instead of the tape so it will stay in place? Thanks...

3M makes a great panel bonding adhesive called 81-15. It will bond any material to any material in automotive applications.

Sounds good, thanks. Have you personally used it before, & if so, what are the tricks of the trade to using it?

We use it quite a bit in the body shop at school. It's about $47 a tube, but well worth it. We just used it to mold in hood scoops on a Mustang we did paint and body on for Mustang Racing Technologies for the SEMA show.

You probably won't need a lot of it, just a nice bead the length of the side skirt. My only reccomendation is don't over do it.

3M also make other adhesives, but in my opinion, 81-15 is the best. We also used it on a Civic about a year and a half ago, and we used it on every body panel we had to mold on it, bumpers, spoiler, gas door(relocated/shaved) door handles, everything, in place of welding panels in place and such, and it will hold as well as welding something into place on a car.
