Since i am new to all of this. Will there be anybody doing professional filming or pictures? I haven't read all the way through the rules on having in car cams yet but since i am a newb i will be concentrating on the instructor anyway. Just a few pictures and bits of footage would be awesome. I have a handicam if someone wants to earn a few bucks on the side.

I plan to have a rollbar cam set up as well as getting tons of other out-of-car footage and stills.

What are the rules on having them inside the cars?
Most camera mounts are legal as long as the camera is 100% secured. I've even mounted my camera outside of the car.

Why not? It has an interior tether, and stayed on the car all day long. It's rated at 150 lb shear load which would mean it would take more G's than an F-16 is capable of to pull it off.

No biggie though. My car isn't going to be ready for the track in time, and I don't have the unit anymore, so it's really a moot point.

Suctapus = made to lift plate glass.

Not knocking Randy's design at all, he's a good guy who makes a great product, but how can you beat something that has twice the adhesion at half or a quarter of the price?

Actually, I don't know how much the Chase mount retails for, or how much the Suctapus retails for, but I know how much it would cost me to make a Suctapus. ;)

I've made orders from Vivid. Great vendor!
