is there a way to have more than one image at a time?
what I'm getting at is that the only reason I see to have an image is to give some personalization and let people know about you at a glance.


it would be impossible (well not actually impossible but...) to have the number of stock images that describe an enthusiast in one image. But if you had the main graphic describing the car then small icons to show color, show, go, ice... like bars on a military uniform, I think it would be more useful.

even if the the cell that the icon showed up in had the ability to have a color code attached, at least that would show two pcs of information in the same space.

I think this is a great idea.

I am still fairly new here, and have not gotten to know what trims of focuses everone drives. This can be a problem when I am reading someones post about an issue related to that specific trim (e.g. seat fabric discolouring on SVT seats) and I do not know what type of focus the poster has.

If everyone had their trim noted, it would be clearer.

why not make them in the colors the focus comes? that way u can pick your trim level, and also your color.
Also not all the ford logo's are gray, the standard trims are silver (gray) but the limited edition cars are more unique (ex. the mach symbol) I would thing it would look kind of stupid if those were made gray.

What about thumbnail sized pics of our cars. I think that would really help you get an idea of people more than just ZX3, ZX5, etc... If someone abuses this, delete the image. If you put restrictions of size, content, etc... Im sure people will follow. If not, inform them.

I lobbied for this a while back and failed. Its just not going to happen. We hardly have time to manage the threads, let alone chasing people down who don't comform to an avatar standard. What a pain that would be...

I like the idea, but it's just not something we want to manage and too many people have proven that self policing doesn't work on a message forum.

the only way that custom images would work is if FJ hosted the images and there was a submittal and approval process.
