Glad to meet one of our "northern" brethren, Z63R. Hope you made it home safe. All are welcome at any pansycal g2gs. Since this was my first ever drag race, I have to say- looks like fun! I think I'll wait until my chip is in and the car is tuned. I'd hate to have my clutch pedal stick!

It's midnight here, right on the gnat's ass...

Been home for about half an hour.

Here's my afternoon:

2PM. Got home from the laundromat. Paked an ice chest full of half-litre Arrowhead water and some dee-licious Snapple Peach Iced Tea.

2:30. Roll out of the driveway and hit the road for SandyEggo. I have mievil's phone number and a full tank of gas; I'm all set!

Traffic. Cruise. Traffic.

3:45. Stop in Aliso Viejo for an iced double tall latte. Yummy and the right buzz for comfortable, alert driving. In more traffic!

5:15 ish. Peel off of the 805; meet Ryan (mievil), Justin & Michele, Jason (2129). We're there for half hour total; the four of us, green, white, white and silver, roll out to Qualcomm, another 30 min drive.

6 ish... Pay the 5 bucks, drive in and park with the other Focuses, PSI-SVT, all2envyZX3, somainevent, focus wrc, Jaun (with the white Roush 2.3 hatch) and the Inimitable TravEsD20. Later, ZX34Zane shows, then deezntz as well as a few others...

Travis and I walk on down to get some speedway steaks (hotdogs), hang out at the starting line and get a nose full of burnout. Doesn't get any better than that!

It was entertaining watching the decent cross-section of cars: Evo's, the occaisional WRX Sti, lots of Honda's, Camaro's, a wicked-fast monster-motored Pinto, a street-rodded '54 chevy truck, Nova's, Eclipse's, a smattering of motorcycles, a Cadillac CTS-v, '74 Ranchero, a '66 stang, a 1st-gen MR2; the list goes on...

Ryan (mieveil) spanked everyone he ran against! And he told me earlier, "Ah,I'm not going to run... My clutch is fubar'd..." Right. T3h Ch4mp10n!

Round about 9:30, I get the itch to motor on home, so I can make it back awake and in one piece...

Left at 9:30, cruised home at a tick above the posted speed, and Viola!... home in two hours with a stop for t3h fuel. Shell on Brookhurst at the 405; 2.73/ gal for 87. That's right; 2.73, where it was 3.03 for 87 down in Palomar...

I had fun, fellas! If it were closer, I might be there every other week or so!

Took me 30 mins. to hammer out this post...

I doubt he minds...he posted his liscense plate up in that one "custom Plate thread", but Im sure he'll let you know if he wants it changed Jason. I had fun too. I was trying some new techniques but to no avail...my best was a 10.51 o-well...that place is a far cry from a real track though. I will have better times next time I go...*cough* JRSC *ahem* anywho...Im spent, I have been up for 22 hours now, and had a nice 12 mile hike at 3 am....so I am going to bed.

im sure he won't mind, but out of respect toards a fellow Foci enthusiast, you all too, i'd take out pics of your car if your plates were showing. Chris, I was wondering why your car wasn't in the pictures??? I wanted to get everyone at the end of the races together to take a group shot. but the place was a ghost town...almost. Hopefully next time we can get a pic of the Silver PEZEV!

Hey Trav....bad news Brotha....that 05 ZX3 that was there...ran like an 11.4 or something...but that guy sucked really bad, and was a total Douche. Thats the guy that had the "problem with his clutch sticking".

he said that when it got hot it would stick down

and that he had his buddy do some "engine work" to his car.

what an idiot....oh I almost forgot about his BMW that he "used to have" that would pull the front wheels a foot off the ground

this guy was a total loser.
