i blame the car, we "raced" numerous times, and every single time we were both in gear neither of us would pull away. what i think is REALLY funny is that before he got a chip, he used to brag about how everytime id keep up with him when i KNEW he was at full throttle and say that he wasnt even half on it. ha! BS!

Is the focus auto? If it is, that would explain you keeping up with him. If its not auto then it must be the driver, because I truly think the focus would own you

ok now that i see this post im goin to step in. #1 I offered to let him drive my car.....he backed out like a little Biotch. must have thought it was goin to be to fast for him. no offense #2 i did start pulling away #3 It was up hill #4 he was behind me and i had a [censored] start. 3500 rpms and in 3rd gear. u can say i wasnt pullin away all u want but i was. and if it was from a dead stop or from a rolling start in 1st u would get owned.

dont get me started on the car thing, i ahve never let anyone else except for JOE drive my car. the onyl reason i let him drive my car is so he could see the massive wobble on his wheel that he had this weekend. i refuse to let people drive my car, sorry. but thats how i am! dont expect to drive it until ive got money in hand from selling it to someone.

and cogs, we raced numerous times. both were uphill, so what? doesnt really matter! we did it getting onto 22, getting onto 66, and onto sardis. you had many attempts to try and "prove me wrong" but you never did. at this point i really think its you and not the car.

ive been thinking, you keep boasting about the 7200 redline. im thinking you jsut rev the [censored] out of it and shift at 7200, which IS NOT THE WAY TO GO! revving the [censored] out of any car isnt necessarilly the best thing to do for the powerband. bring in your dyno sheet tomorrow, ill give you my opinion on when you should be shifting. to give you a little example of what i mean, i rev my car to no higher than 5800. redline starts at 6500, and tach ends at 7000. just because it redlines at 6500 doesnt mean thats when my power starts to end. it actually ends somewhere around 5800 - 6000, and its REALLY obvious...its like torture to rev it to 6500. it just doesnt [censored] move. like i said, bring in the dyno sheet tomorrow and ill give you my opinion. that chip and w/e else you added doesnt really move the powerband much at all.

man i miss my mk2 16v gti oh and as far as you keeping up with a zx3 or zx5 that manual it's not going to happen in a 8v i have driven many 8v and i have also owned a zx3 kona before my SVTF it just wont happen now 16v thats a different story.

 

ok man u got to get ur SH*T striaght. Just because i have a 7200 rpm reline doesnt mean i shift at that. and i dont rev the f out of that car. i no my best shifting point in that car. My [censored] point is 6200. and i was only shifting at 5800 when i was on 66. And that dyno isnt goin to prove sh*t about my shift point. ive done alot since then.

it's not that serious bro anyone who knows VW's and foci's know that an 8v will not take a 2.0 foci and i love VW's if i didn't drive a focus then i would be driving a 24v vr6 gti but car for car it's not happening.
