when i see flat black hoods, i think "i wish i had carbon fiber" acrosst he person drivings face. Only in this case yours really is carbon. I think going with body matched paint would be a better idea IMO...
Are you going to put a vinyl focus sport banner on the hood or get it painted on? I don't know how possible it is, but... Is there any way you could paint the hood gloss black, and just leave a clear focus sport banner? I don't know much about painting. But personally think that if it was possible it would look extremely sweet to see the cf in the banner. don't go ape-sh** if i am completely unrealistic. haha

^^^Playing on that idea^^^

Lay the decal on the CF hood and paint the hood body color. Then remove the decal so it leaves the FS logo in CF.

While on the subject. Has anyone removed the paint on a Cf hood and restore it to the original CF weave? I bought a CF hood cheap becuase it was painted white. I want to sand off the paint and clear the underneath for the CF weave. Anyone else do this? Or am I screwed and should just paint the hood body color?
I'd imagine its basically the same process as reclearing, just a little deeper, cuz your going through paint. I'd say if you brought it to a professional body shop and asked them they'd give you a straight answer, but i'd say it'd be fine sanded down and recleared because you arent biting any more into the resin than if you where to just be taking off a clear. Your just going threw an extra layer of paint
