I am trying to remove the rear seat in a svt. I can access the front bolts in the brackets with the seats up but I can not access the rear bracket bolts. With the seats down there is not enough room between the bolt and seat to insert the torx socket and ratchet. Is there a trick to this? What am I missing? The manual simply states to remove the bolts. Thanks.

the lower peice of the seat only has bolts on the front. grab the back and flip it forward (hinge on front) and remove lower front bolts. that will give you access to the bolts for the bolts for the top sections, if i remember correctily anyway

The upper section has three brackets with two bolts each. The front bolts on each bracket can be accessed with the seat back up. The back bolts can not. With the seat back folded forward the bolts are exposed but there is not enough room to get the torx socket on the bolt. I must be missing something.

It should be similar to other foci, I just removed my rear seat today out of my 06 ZX3. I removed the 4 bolts on the back of each seat, then that exposed the bolts for the brackets. Hell, worse case, just start unbolting everything that looks like it holds on the seats! Thats really what I did.
