How are these cars holding their resale value? And how hard are they to sell when it comes time to trade up? Just trying to do some research. Thanks!

the kelly blue book is what the dealer would give you. But the retail on NADA of the 15.5k is what a bank would lend on it. I just refinanced my car and thought I wouldn't be able to based on kelly, but the bank said no, that is what the dealer would give you. We will lend up to retail which is the 15.5k.

You will probably get more than the trade in value to sell out right. But not much more since the incentives and everything the dealer is offering drop the price a lot for a new car.

If you want an eye-opener, look at either SVT versus just the ZX3 or ZX5 - SVTs are holding value way better. I'm finding just over 80% for a perfect 2002 ZX3 compared with around 88% for the SVT. These are dealer retail figures, of course.

Do you think the Euro pkg cars will be any different? So the car will lose 50% of its value (about) in 2 years? Damn rebates, they have absolutely ruined the used car market!

Well keep in mind you have to look at the rebates offered on the Focus as a double-edged sword great in lowering the overall price of the car but at the same time lowering the overall trade in value.
