Overall I’m very happy with my results, the two courses were dramatically different, Saturdays being long a flowing and Sundays without gates rather point and shoot.

I finished at the bottom of my class one place out of last on both days but as you will see below I’m up against some very quick cars, it was also my 3rd ever event. What’s got me most happy is that I’m within a few 10ths of moving up 2 or 3 places. With the help and suggestions of veteran members I played around with shock settings and tire pressure on Saturday but when I tried to relate the things to Sundays course I got total different results.
I’ve been told that I’ve got the front near perfect as my control arm are sitting dead straight. Any of you guru’s want to confirm that this is a good thing?? The rear is still sitting up no where near straight but then again I’m not sure it’s supposed to? My rotating rear sort of disappeared on Sunday with the only tight corners resulting in a 2 to 1 downshift while braking very hard. Going through an offset slalom the car preformed nicely pushing hard in 2nd gear netted a steady flat feeling but I think with some more oversteer it could have gotten through it even faster. I did quite a bit of pushing through two corners at opposite ends of the course both were under control by the end of the day, mainly fixed by taking corner 1 slower and tighter and the 2nd buy pushing out wider before turning in hard. Looking at the results has got me thinking that if I removed a few of my bolt-on pieces chip, UPD, and cam gears I could move down into the BSS class where I would be middle of the field. With 8 more events this year I’ve still got lots of time to improve my driving before I forget everything over the winter.

One last thing I think I'm taking it too easy my first run I stay in 1st gear, on my 2nd run I try a little 2nd in spots where I was at max rpm. On my 3rd I try a little more 2nd gear and by the 4th run I'm in 2nd almost all the time. I did this both days is it just experience that allows you to try to go faster earlier?? I seem to have trouble working up the umm courage.
I believe that if I tried 2nd earlier I could take more time off by working on carrying the speed around the course, rather than seeing if I can actually maintain the speed.

Isn't the learning process fun?

You'll get Faster and Faster w/ Practice and Experience.
Try a few School Events. They'll go a LONG way to help the Process, and Never be afraid to ask questions.

Thanks for the support Michael I'm certainly enjoying myself. As for a school there aren't any in my area until next spring, I'm looking to see if there is anything I can do over the weekend. I would like to do one school like a Skip barber and one where I can drive my own car. Learning the art of picking lines, proper brake modulation, stuff like that.
