... do people not like me or something??? always takes a week to get an answer.
Not that I dont like you but why exactly would you want to do this??
I'm pretty sure that would be illegal, but if you do happen to do it, you should turn your headlights into to blinkers too.... So they match.

Why would it be illegal? Basically, he wants to have independant rear amber turn signals in the back of his car, its not illegal, as many cars have this, but the one tricky part, is that he wants one lamp to serve the purpose of 2 lamps, Reverse & Turn, which may be tricky.
I think, the only way he can achieve this right now, would be to use LED's and use Seperate LED's for reverse and Turn and cram them into the reverse housing.
I'm guessing you wanna get the european tails for the hatches with the amber where the reverse light.

You'd have to wire it up carefully.... basically switching a bunch of wires in the assembly. You'd make it function like your brake lights....
You would need a different socket, one that would accomodate a two filament lamp and run the wire for the turn signals to one and the reverse light signal to the other filament. One of the filaments might be brighter than the other though.
what happens if i chop out the wires from the blinker bulb and just double them up into the reverse bulb???

and yes i think it is illegal in mass but they rarely bag you for em. i have the hids on my svt and have already switched out the blinker to superwhites and have clear markers with superwhites and havent had any trouble wtih that yet.
make sure you put an amber bulb, or amber coloured LEDs in there to remain street legal
the dual filament bulb trick is good, but it wont work for turn signal because where are you going to find a half orange, half white bulb??
id ont want orange the hole point was to have a clear blinker thats y i wanan put it on the reverse light.
Dual filament bulb...Shouldnt matter which filament you hook up for which function, but Id think you probably would want the brighter one as reverse...Maybe not, though...Either way, youll need a socket for a dual-filament bulb...Hook the ground to a ground, and the hot for the filament you want as reverse to the hot that is currently for reverse...Then, take the other hot, and splice it into a turn signal hot...Either the side markers, or the high-filament of the grill lights...Hope that made a little sense, and maybe helped a bit...

...And as an afterthought, the reason you may not have had a problem with your current setup is that none of the flashing clears are facing to the rear...Thats just my thoughts, and may or may not be accurate...

Either way, good luck...

It would be illegal because blinkers in the rear MUST be amber or red, and reverse lights MUST be white (clear).
He never mentioned bulb colour, but if he wanted to do that, I am guessing he would use the proper coloured bulbs or LED's for his application.
No i dont give a sh$t if its illegal or not. my front blinkers are illegal too but they dont care about it. i jus want to make my rear blinkers clear. i dont care about reverse lights anyways. the bulbs that are in there now dont even light up the street but there a cool plasma color.
i've done it....except i've gotten rid of my revers [you can do it and keep them too if you want...
took me about 3 hours to figure it out though...

so how my tails work now are
reverse - now in RS rear...
brake light - same
parking light - same
indicator - now in stock reverse position-no longer flashes in brake light position

you might think this is a cinch....but as you try to do it you will find that your brake light/parking/indicator will also still flash....you can't separate them...but i did

i can't reveal how i did it...but i'm fairly confident i'm the first to do with with NA spec tailights
...maybe not...but..pretty sure
