RF Wheel Problems???

Has this happened to anybody before?

When I am going slow (under 40 MPH) & I hit the brakes I hear a grinding noise that gets louder as I get slower. I would say it's the brakes, but the noise continues as I drive slow. Once I get around 35 MPH the noise ceases.
When I am on the highway the car runs like new, I don't have any problems with it, just when I'm going slow.
I don't want to take it to the mechanic without knowing what to say 'cuz I don't wanna be taken for a ride, you know.
I have a 2004 Focus ZTS 31,000 miles on it.

Thanks!

hmm, you might want to check out your wheel bearings
I'll do that tonight.
I just really want to see WHO will get the bill.
The town for having such crappy roads, or the dealer since I'm still under warranty.....unless they have some stupid clause to get out of repairing it.
