Is it ok to change the tranny fluid and replace it w/ RP Max Gear? I think the weight is 75w-90
Same here! I have had Syncromax in mine for 30K miles now, and lovin every minute of it.SVT3658 said:I too have synchromax. My tranny was getting to be a bear to shift so I broke down and spent the money.....well worth every penny!
The 75W-90 is a gear oil usually used in rear axle assemblies, you absolutely DO NOT want to use it in a transmission. Just as everyone before me stated, the regular RP Synchromax trans fluid will work great.JCPMZX3 said:Is it ok to change the tranny fluid and replace it w/ RP Max Gear? I think the weight is 75w-90
ford honey is a 75-90....Motorcraft® Full Synthetic Manual Transmission Fluid is a premium-quality SAE 75W-90 gear oil designed, engineered and recommended by Ford Motor Company meeting warranty requirements. It is particularly recommended for MTX-75 and IB5 transmissions, and is also recommended for older transmissions including rear wheel drive that recommend GL-3 and GL-4 type gear oils
