if you can find the engine and all of the related parts, it should be possible. however, it would be quite difficult to find all of the parts you'd need. you'd be better off finding a wrecked one and taking the parts from it, but that would be incredibly difficult. but to answer your question, yes, it should be possible.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">But why would you want to? There'll be better swaps with the 2.0/2.3 Duratec IMO. Not to mention the aftermarket parts *should* surpass the Zetec fairly fast.

Shoot, the NA 2.3 is way past 200 hp with little aftermaket support now.
How long and how much does it cost to get a Zetec to the same level?

What I can't decide is if to switch to rear drive or not.
Five speed auto would be cool!

Ya, I thought the *ZETEC* in the RS was a Duratec too!

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">true, but not entirely. in europe, the "duratec" engine is a rebadged zetec. it is a zetec in every way except the lettering on the valve cover. i do believe the mondeo has the ACTUAL duratec though
