i saw an s2 at work today with headrests in the rear seat!? wtf why didn't my s2 come with headrests back there?

ok i noticed a zx3 today with side air bags. no headrests in the back. it was an 02

Some comfort selections on certain models have them.

So some wouldn't even though they have the side airbags.

yeah I think they droped the rear headrest in 02, my car does not have them and I have the side airbags. the only cars i have seen with them are the SVT's.
I would like to have them on my car but you have to pull them out in order to fold the rear seats flat.

Only MY 01 has rear headrests when ordered with front side air bags. It was decontented afterwards. Only the SVT comes with rear headrests now.

Here in Canada, I believe all S2 edition foci had the rear headrest included.

most canadian focuses have /rear headrests I got mine from a junkyard in canada for 50$ including the rear seat.
