A slight power improvement for the stock four-cylinder Duratech engine comes courtesy of dual-tipped exhaust and cold-air intake fed by a functioning hood scoop.

:what: .... being a Duratec Owner I find the above statement rather odd....

Overall ugly. Then again it is an ugly car to start with.

love. the. spoiler.

Hate the rest.

The body graphics HAVE TO GO!
I agree.

Those wheels are horrid. I kinda like the "non" grill.

Where in the hell did they put the power???? Why do they NEVER add any power to the Focus?

Cutting corners IMO.

How can a name like Saleen, who's name is synonimous with power, realease a car......that is so unpowerful...??

And where in the hell do they get off charging $20,000 for this thing?? I'd rather have a V6 Mustang.......

So, in my unprofessional opinion, I deem this vehicle...FAIL.

Saleen is not always synonimous for power.

I just wish they would offer this in stages like they do the buttstain.

Like---
Saleen/Racecraft Focus
Saleen/Racecraft Focus-T

etc etc and so on and so forth if you feel what I am layin down.

I like my 05 Saleen Focus, but I took off all the "Ricey" garbage. It took me awhile to get used to it, but I kinda like it now. I just wish it came with power, I'm slowly adding, have Steeda SRI, Cosworth IM, and FS stage 1 on the way. It would be sweet if Saleen just did all of that at the factory like their Mustangs. Ford is really letting itself go. The other guys make their performance cars, (SRT, SS, VW, etc.) Why cant Ford bring back the SVTF? I would even go for an SVT Fusion. So much potential being thrown to the wind. If I wasnt such a Ford fan, I would totally get a VW R32 or something.

So this is the car that they lead off with to launch their Racecraft brand? You'd think they would have at least tried to disguise the fact that they are offering more of the same tacky, non-functional parts that have already flooded the market.

With a price at nearly $20k, they couldn't afford to add any power. Who's gonna buy a $23-24k Focus?

I feel ya daddy-o!

But when people think Saleen, they think Saleen S7 and Saleen Mustang...which had power. They're niche is decently powerful vehicles......granted nothing insane for production, but still, they are decently powered.

Pretty cool. Cant wait to see it with at least 190 hp. I am not dissapointed. Racecraft is supposed to be budget friendly cars. IMO this is not that bad of a deal.

$5k for sways, brakes and 15hp? I don't think so. This is some pretty sad crap. If I were on the Saleen team that worked on this, I'd be so ashamed of parading this in front of the tuning world.
body kit, stripe kit, sways, wheels, tires, brakes, exhaust, cai, interior trim

Yeah 5K.

Be ashamed, that's up to you. I like it.

Im a die hard mustang fan...which makes me a Saleen retard by proxy. So when I think Saleen I think all the way back to the first Fox they ever produced and offered up to the public.

IIRC most of their original models started out as suspension/bodywork/minor motor upgrades. Then eventually (early 90s I think) was when the SC option started to come around.

I could be off though...I ALWAYS get Saleen and Roush staged cars mixed up in my head...lolz.

I'll grant you the parts probably do cost that much. But I'd like to think that a majority of people on this site are about performance over looks. And the $5k buy needed to acquire a paltry power and performance boost is pretty sad.

You don't need 5k to get 15hp. That's rediculous. Go out and buy your own CAI.

I disagree with the dissenting crowd. This is a damn nice place to start, looking only to add a turbo kit and LSD.

Exactly, so the kit is in some ways (the performance one, mostly) ridiculous, isn't it? Cuz all you're getting for $5k is 15hp and stiffer sways.

If you had $6k extra to spend on a Focus (taking the RC2 price over a base Focus), you could add that turbo and LSD provided you did your own labor. I'd wager 9/10 people would rather have turbo and LSD for the extra money than what Racecraft is pushing here.
