The Nopi Tour made a stop in Dallas, TX this weekend and one of the highlights of the whole weekend for me was getting to see the FR200 in person for the first time. What an amazing machine. However, while talking to the Ford Racing rep, he told me that Ford has discontinued the FR200 project and they will be crushing all of them at the end of the year. He said that Ford might sell the engine and the interior but the rest will be crushed.

How can Ford do this? I don't understand why they can't sell them for charity or something. What a waste of a sweet ass car.

Yeah, they will crush them. Ford does some crazy stuff. My step father works at the plant in St. Louis as a quality tech and he tells me some of the stories. Like getting 3 sets of 100 wheels to test on some new vehicle then after they decide which ones they want, they drill holes in them and trash them. Ford will never sell anything like that since they dont want any liability to the item reguardless if they have a waiver or not. If anything, a Higher-up CEO type MIGHT be able to get one but they will never re-sell something like that. It sucks.

Yeah Ford does that, I took a vehicle fire investigation class put on by Ford. They brought 2 Explorers they were doing seat belt tests on, cut the belts out of them and then we burned em to the frame.

some people just don't understand.........I worked in the very shop those bodies were made in thank you, and hehehe they ar emade out of CF as in Carbon fiber, not metal.......I doubt they will crush them, SVO will have a much better use...........just don't believe everything you hear........
