Are these really going to be the new engines to go with? I'm ready to buy, and will drive the six hours to get to california to buy one if these engines are worth it.

If you are going to buy a Focus, then yea, go get a 2.3L. It's a nobrainer.

More hp, more tq, lighter, more emission friendly, better mileage, smoother - Does it get any better?

Yes, get a 2.3!

the only thing I would suggest, unless you NEED a new car now, is waiting till next year when it is released in all states. I don't trust new things from ford, I say wait a year so they can work any bugs out of it.

The only down side I see to it is the fact its not available with AdvanceTrack (Just like the SVT
), I hope ford fixes that next year.

I have a PZEV as a loaner car right now. Definitely pretty torquey! Pull very well down low, but does loose its breathe up high. But that shouldn't be too hard to fix.

The oddest thing I noticed is that the engine is installed "backwards" compared to the Zetec/SPI. The intake manifold is up front and the headers are down the back.
