Simple Side Skirts for \'05 ST Sedan

Hi,

I'm looking for a simple side skirt setup for an '05 ST.

I'm not looking for a complete body kit, I already love the way the car looks, except for seeing the spotwelded lip under the rocker.

My Taurus has a pretty simple skirt, just big enough to not look weird without a front and rear airdam.

Any suggestions? Thanks.

Get the OE side skirts off of a ZX3.

I've never been so proud of my side skirts untill now...LOL

Thanks, never noticed that there were OEM sideskirts (apart from the SVT). Were they available on the 4-door (or is the length the same)?

Yeah, the length on all Foci's are the same, sedan, ZX3, ZX5, SVTF, and even the wagon.

Okay I have a similar question... look at this photoshopped pic of my car...

Notice the lower sides and the lower part of the front bumper are black? I want to do this with my car.

Could you do it with vinyl or would it have to be paint?

You can do anything with vinyl, but being that low, it would get pitted up pretty quick.

The lower part being black also makes your car look a few inches higher.

The OEM skirts were available from 2000 to 2002 ZX3 models, and the 2001 Street Edition wagon and sedan. In about 2003 or 2004, Ford took them off the hatch.

Just note the OEM skirt on the ZX3 is the black plastic that's not smooth and needs a lot of prep work before paint takes to them.

You can put vinyl down there. The front will get alittle beat up, but its just vinyl, once a year, replace it or something. My mom's Dale Earnhardt Edition Monte Carlo has the red stripe all along the bottom, and it still looks goods after owning the car for 2 years.
