The 2005 Hummer H2 SUT

First introduced as a concept in Times Square with Arnold Schwarzenegger and Mayor Rudy Giuliani during the 2001 New York Auto Show, the 2005 Hummer H2 SUT was shown in production form at the 2004 Los Angeles International Auto Show. With all the styling and abilities of the current H2, the H2 SUT provides the utility of a pickup-truck bed. The new SUT features a midgate similar to that found on the Chevrolet Avalanche, making it possible to fold the rear seats down and extend the cargo bed into the cabin. The H2 SUT is built at the AM General assembly facility in Mishawaka, Ind., and goes on sale this spring. Also expected soon is a smaller Hummer called the H3. Shown in concept form at this year’s L.A. show, the H3T Concept features a pickup truck body, side-access doors to the pickup bed, a power-operated folding canvas sunroof and drop-down rear window. Styling, of course, is all Hummer.
The 2005 Ferrari 612 Scaglietti

Although the Italian automaker typically debuts its new models on the European auto show circuit, the all-new 612 Scaglietti had its worldwide unveiling at the North American International Auto Show this past January in Detroit. The location was appropriate, since the Italian marque is celebrating its 50th anniversary in America this year. A genuine 4-seat Ferrari, the 612 Scaglietti replaces the aging but still elegant 456M. Ferrari’s goal in building the 612 was to create the best performance 2+2 in the world. The car needed to be lighter than the 456M, but at the same time offer more interior room. The Pininfarina-designed 612 Scaglietti is 5.5 inches longer than the 456M it replaces. The extra room provides comfortable seating for four, as well as a trunk that is 25 percent larger, with space for a five-piece Ferrari luggage set or two golf bags. To make the 612 Scaglietti the best performing 4-seat coupe in the world, Ferrari gave it a 5.7-liter (Ferrari rounds this to 6.0 liters for the name) V12 engine that produces an impressive 540 horsepower. The V12 can be mated with either a 6-speed manual transmission or the latest generation F1 gearbox. With the lighter weight and powerful V12 engine, it’s no wonder this car is capable of reaching 60 mph in around four seconds on its way to a top speed in excess of 196 mph. Much of the technology found in the 612 Scaglietti came from Ferrari’s experience in Formula One racing. Ferrari won both the Driver’s Championship and Constructor’s Championship in the 2003 F1 season.
The 2005 Ford Mustang

Ford is calling 2004 “The Year of the Car,” and the company definitely has the product to back it up. Likely to make the biggest splash when it goes on sale this fall is the 2005 Mustang. An American icon celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, the Mustang has been completely redesigned, taking design cues from its celebrated past and combining them with a fully modern structure and chassis. Inside the Mustang a unique instrument panel allows drivers to change the backlight color to suit their personality. "We weren’t just redesigning a car, we were adding another chapter to an epic," said J Mays, Ford Motor Company group vice president of design. Mustang will be available with a choice of two engines. The base will feature a 200-horsepower V6, while the GT sports a V8 producing 300 horsepower. Both models will have a base MSRP less than $20,000. For anyone requiring more performance, the car to look for is the Ford GT. The new Ford GT delivers on Ford’s promise to produce a 200-mph supercar for less than $150,000—pricing has been set at $139,900.

So what cars or trucks are you looking forward to seeing in the '05 model year? I like the sounds of the new volvo S40.

F Hummer in the A. until they come out with trucks (aside from the H1) that actually PERFORM off road, they will never again have my respect. H2's are freaking stoooopid.

Is that some sort of typo(I highlighted in the article)that both the base and Mustang GT will have a base MSRP under $20,000?

Anyway,I am looking forward to seeing and driving the new 2005 Mustang GT when it arrives.

I like all of the one's you have mentioned. I have always been a fan of the Hummer trucks.

I like hummers and all but they are to expensive and you don't get anything quality and feature wise more than you get with an escalade or yukon denali. My dream = Escalade with vortech supercharger..
