I am going be install some new spark plugs in my car and I was wondering how much they had to be torqued?
I did about 10 searchs and found nothing about it, so if any one could help me out Id appricate it. Thanks a lot!!! JUSTIN

Hmm...Good question..When I replaced mine, I simply tightened them down til barely snug, then hand torqued them til snug. I took one out to check it a while ago, and everything seems to be good. I have always just hand tightened mine in every car, and I've never had a problem.

According to my Ford Service Manual CD for the 2000 Focus spark plugs should be torqued:

11 lb-ft

Hey guys thanks for the info. I ended up torque them to 15lbs maybe I should redo them to 11lbs? I took it out, drove around, and it ran fine so we will see what happens. Again thanks for the help. JUSTIN
