Long conversation with the driver about track awareness, he had no clue until I showed him the video. Then showed the video to the stewards as I don't want to be out there unless every driver is reminded that behind them can be next to them in a moment. Well after all was said he is on probation which is as it should be. He is actually coming to help the in the teardown so all is well between us, but it sucks as the sap bumpers are destroyed at least the rear and the front is certainly getting tired of repaired. As for the ride I don't want that anymore as the conversation with the wife was as painful as the damage. )

The tune to the STL car was updated again and seems to cured the issues of shifting completely. Also appears tom has been able to lean it out a little more. Really was a smoother performance with the car. The brakes on this car are much more confidence inspiring allowing a fast lap as quick as the ITA car. We put it on the pole for both sat and sun and won both races. Much more competition in ITA at this event than STL but we did improve the STL a bit more this weekend.

Got the wreaked 4 door back. New list of stuff, windshield, hood, both fenders, both bumpers, rad support, both headlights, air filter come, two wheels, 2 tail lights, 4 tires as all were flat spotted, new belts, all the bumper brackets, able to repair the trunk and roof. Tommorrow we work on moving the door glass back, all the signage and rebuilding the radiator ducting and brake ducting. Two weeks before Charlotte.

Ok, so both cars raced at Charlotte this weekend. No real issues except that both cars had ps issues. Never touched the systems in either car yet both cars puked out the fluid. Made a mess and don't know if we hurt the racks but finished the races. The new track configuration is different to say the least. 3 sprint races and one enduro. 3 2nd place finishes and 1st in the enduro. A very good day.

Ok 2018 update. The zx3 STL car is getting v3 of the motor. Tom is building this, big cams, custom rods, all on the 2 liter platform as that's all we are allowed in this class. Rebuilt 3 transmissions this past week. We have a 4:06 with a new custom made diff with a new fifth gear. Standard 5th is .77, this one has a low 1st, new syncros and .85 5th. The other boxes are quaife equipped with 4:06 in one and .80 5 th. The short track unit is a 4:25 Kaaz unit with .92 5 th. This year we push to see what we can get done in this class as the rumor is the national championship will be very close to us. The ITA car gets a new ps system and more tom tuning.

Motor in and she started on the first attempt, great oil pressure, one small leak at the oil filter housing. Tons more to do with lots of little stuff like the whole rear suspension but it runs and sounds mean. Dyno time due next week.
