Can't forget the SA ones too. And if you want to get technical, I'd say the SVT (or at least the euro package ones) are "special editions" as well.....

This compiled list is years and years old.

But... the street appearance isn't a statement car, it is just a trim package.

...and the SVT has its own forum.

One more thing to point out.. and I'm not nitpicking.. but....

The cloth interior of the Street Edition Sedan was a unique diamondweave pattern exclusively available on the Street Edition.

and the s2 got that same seat patern a couple years after.
I hope you ment months and not years:lol:

The Street Ed was in early '01 and S2 was late '01.

BTW that "special" pattern was quite common on early '02 ZX3's.

BUR_ZX3 has them in his '02

The "unique" S2 wheels popped up on quite few sedans in '02 as well in SoCal. Part of an audio package that had the 6cd changer and the wheels.

My wife's ZTS has this package. BTW those S2 wheels look real good on a black sedan.

Not to mention the Unique Liquid Grey became standard in '02 as well.

BTW pic of S2 from ford

I know this post is 8 years old now (!!), but I just want to clarify that, according to Ford's press release in 2001, the Street Edition was a statement car. Was there some other source that said it wasn't?

I was also under the impression that the Street Edition was a statement car.

Have I been wrong all this time?

Gentlemen: Street Appearance, not Street Edition

In other words, a 2005-2007 Focus with the SAP bumpers and/or wing is just a trim package.

The 2001 Street Edition is most definitely a statement car.... the wagon probably being my favorite of all time when slathered with Mali Blue.

Whoops.

Yeah, totally agree.

Guess I didn't read into it because it was so obvious that the SAP did not belong in here.

I was looking at an '01 Street Edition wagon in red last week. I almost bought it, too; until I saw the rotted out rear subframe and hackjob weld repair done to it. I was pretty disappointed, but don't have any spare room to swap rear subframes. I think the lot ended up scrapping it. :(

I realize that this is an ancient thread, but is there anything about the Roush Foci available? I have a 2004 and finding info is like a needle in a haystack!
Not sure if it qualifies as a 'Statement Car', but they were pretty rare, so don't have their own section...
