Yup,

We had dinner with Leo while we were at SEMA and we couldnt say anything to anybody about his switch to a Focus. It was difficult not wanting to spread the news.

Leo will be racing a Sedan (Im sure all of you sedan owners will love this) because it allows him to have a better front/rear weight balance than the ZX3 does. The last HP estimate he was shooting for out of his 2.3L was 270 "reliable" HP.. I honestly think he wont have any problem reaching that target.

I just hope he can secure enough sponsorship to make the trek out to the west coast for the races at Sears Point and Laguna Seca.

I guess that brings up a good question.. (this is of course estimating several things such as weight).

Is it better to:

A) weigh 2300lbs and have a F/R bias of 60/40

or

B) weigh 2400lbs and have a F/R bias of 55/45

The guy used to come to track days sponsored by me at Redline Track Events when his Focus was pretty much still streetable.. The last time he came to one of our events it was trailored in

I wish this other guy the best of luck. Now he just needs to come on down to one of our Focus Challenge events and see how he fairs when a handicap system is in place. Some of these other Focus Challenge drivers can REALLY drive!!!!

To my knowledge, the guy was a member of FocalJet at some point in time....I guess he is too busy now (understandable) or maybe he doesnt like it.. who knows.

If he ever does come to one of my Open Track Days again, I will be sure to remind him to stop on by.

If you make it out West to either of the races in CA, I will be sure to gather a group of people together to come watch you race. If you cant make it out West, I will fly back east to see one of your races.
