Apparently you don't know who I am...I just decided to go out and buy a new head...I found ones from 350 down to 150. some with warranties some without. I figured this to be easiest and with a couple of other tricks the switch ovewr sould be quick and painless![]()
Thanks TEX, you are an allstar! lol How's the newbie (baby...)? Hope all is well there!after removing the valve cover, there are 10 bolts holding the head down. after removing the timing belt and passenger side motor mount, undo those 10 bolts and pull the head off.
That's the idea for now. I guess the cost was going to be too great. I'm going to see what I can get done and if I'm not satisfied, I may do the other thing in the future.hmm, txfo has this one wrapped up. All I can add is that there is a bracket underneath the intake manifold that connects it to the block. You can take all the bolts off but if you don't take that off the manifold is going nowhere.![]()
Tin-man, if you're going to do all this and then do your other project I would say just stick with what you got and build an na beast that would give the same power as the other project without all the hassle!
