Was on Rte 93 North outside of Manchester, NH. Had to take a drive up and fix an oil leak on my daughters car. Anyway it blew by me, guestimate at around 85-90. I down shifted & started the pursuit. After dealing with traffic & finally getting to it where my wife, (despite her objections) could snap a pic, it darted across and exited the highway. Wanted to follow it, but my side seat driver was already having a coniption fit as it was. It was silver, (best car color know to man kind), very nice lines with a nice stance & it was running New Jersey MFG plates.

You're not supposed to discuss speeding on focaljet
I did not say I went anywhere of extreme north of the posted speed limit, did I....

Is it safe to assume that you were driving the speed limit at the point in which the car passed you? So if you were, and you "started the pursuit", you would have to speed in order to catch up.

Okay mom, chill out here
Uh, take a drive to the Audi dealer, you can get a better look at one, but you might want to wait a couple months for the 3.2 quattro version before you take a test drive.

If you ever drive in CT then you can complain. YES the speed of traffic on CT highways (when not in gridlock) is usually about 80-90mph on the highways and parkways, about 50-65mph on major roads, and about 35-55mph on most side roads. Most people “keep right, pass left.” If you try to camp out in the left hand lane of the highway no matter what speed you are going, you WILL wind up with car on you a** waiting for you to get the hell out of the way. No matter how fast or slow you think you are going a faster car will soon be tailgating you, doing 80 in a focus, along comes a 3 series doing 100, followed by a Porsche doing 120. Yes it is illegal to camp out in the left hand lane in CT, and it is illegal to pass on the right (except on 3 + lane per direction interstates).

I believe CT has some of the lowest posted speed limits in the US, and the highest rate of speeding per capital. The “posted speed limit” in CT are completely random and arbitrarily placed about the road. If you try and drive by them to a T you are very likely to get into an accident. Where I live there is a road with a SPEED BUMP on it with a posted speed limit of 30mph. There is a 2 lane road (one a direction) with a speed limit of 45, but the divided highway that passes over it, with emergency lanes, guard rails etc… has a speed limit of 40mph. If you can figure that out PLEASE tell me!The “posted speed” on the highway is the unofficial MINIMUM speed limit in the state. You are not allow to drop below it unless you are driving in the most right hand lane, or willing to pull off the side of a single lane road to let faster traffic pass. If you fail to comply you may be terminated on the spot by being rammed of the side of a cliff!
Seriously though, most people will get out of the way of a car behind them ASAP. If you are on the highway and u see a car approaching you, you move to the RIGHT most lane. If there is no right lane, they you pull of the side of the road and stop if you have to!

As a safety caution, many people in CT only signal when they move into a left hand lane, when they move into a right hand lane, many people don’t bother signaling. As I said it is ILLEGAL to pass on the right, and people do check there rearview mirror, but they often assume no one will be on their right (even if they hit you YOU may be at fault for the accident for passing illegally!) If you come flying up on a car in front of you, you may see the car just pull into the right hand lane to let you pass EVEN IF YOU ARE IN A RIGHT LANE.*

*California drivers especially, take note of this!
