i did some research last winter, but heres the question. is it possible to find a set of steel wheels with the right offset and backspacking to fit on a SVT modeled focus?

There's no real problem with it. But you'll need to find 16" steelies, to fit over the SVT brakes.

Just find some 16 inch stockers on ebay or someplace for cheap and go that route.

I see SVT's quite often in the winter with 16 inch wheels on em with snow tires.

We can't seem to get steel wheels for Winter packages for the SVT, however, rumor has it we will be offering 16 inch "Alloys" at prices as low as $75.00 per wheel for the 2005/2006 Winter selling season. More to follow in the near future!

No one up here in Canada can either.

This may be the best alternative if you are thinking of running winter tires or for some other reason.

YOu may be lucky in trying on eBay or an auto recycler/wrecker for used 16-inch Focus rims off a ZTS, ZTW, or hatchbacks.
