I'm wondering if anyone can tell me, is there a 12v power source inside the steering wheel (behind the plastic horn/airbag cover)?
It's an '02 SVT Focus, so there is obviously cruise control etc. in there...
I'm looking for a power source thats only live when the vehicle is in 'run', and it has to be on the wire rotator, so it can spin with the steering wheel...
Basically, what I am doing is notching out the cover right beside the cruise control switchgear, and mounting LED's inside to illuminate the buttons...
Thanx in advance!

according to my haynes manual, theres 12v going to the cruise control switch, AND the ignition cylinder, so you have a choice from where to pull power from. prolly best bet is to pull your power right from the cruise switch. couldnt tell yah what wire is what though.
i would think cruise control only got power when the car is on?
