Thank you for the quick reply!. I want to build/buy a gearbox with a limited slip for autocross. Looking to go up on the ratio too. Maybe I should find an 05-07 to build and swap out?

Actually I've been kind of looking to buy a whole car with a 2.3. Would I be able to find an 05-07 with a 2.3and MT?

 

Did anybody ever find part numbers for the 3.41 or 3.56 sets? PWSC has enough oomph that lengthening the gears for autocross would be desirable to me.

 

...Info..from my list I think the 3.56 ratio parts (Aug 2007 >) are ..Ring gear 8S4Z-7F343-A and the matching output shaft is 8S7Z-7061-A.

A note on the lower 4.06 final drive re Contour and Cougar..Take care here as all levels of output shaft do not mix and match. For a 4.06 in a later '3 part' output shaft Focus MTX75 you will need the shaft and ring gear for a late V6 Cougar (2001>2002) as those are the years that should interchange ..
