Re: Stolle's Build

It's about time you start a thread
yea yea. sorry ive been so busy with this other SVTF my dad got swapping a new engine in it. homestretch tho! the SVTF runs just have to put the header and ORP back on and put a set of stock fans back in since those were long gone since it used to be a xios turbo car that used slims fans.

Yeah, except your head is done better than mine, I almost didn't want to let you have it!

475 is more than you can ever use on the street. I find that with mine over 430whp the car doesn't really feel any faster it just spins more :)
haha good to know!

and nothings wrong with flexing ur muscles...i can always play with my AEM tru boost i have sitting next to me on the desk here to find that sweet setting where im just hazing the tires but still making forward progress.

btw i love burnouts.

Re: Stolle's Build

Pfff, Jim...it looks cute to you because it's the Tial turbine housing, which is deceiving. Andy will be making just as much power as you. Jared put down 504 with it, after all....

Re: Stolle's Build

I think he's goin for as much as Jared since he knows all he has to do is put the same mods on and go. If he doesn't have any real problems, there's no reason he can't pump out 504 as well :)

Re: Stolle's Build

i planned to just make about 475whp. if i get over that ill be happy.

my main goal is over 400ftlbs. it will curious to see what torque ill make since ill be using a Ford racing intake manifold over the Jay racing one.

This motor is also pretty much a carbon copy spec of jareds.

Re: Stolle's Build

Ive just come to conclusion ill just be driving aroung with cheater slicks for now on :)
I drove with BFG drag radials about 50% of the time i had my last turbo kit running. very streetable tire. but they suck in the rain.

Re: Stolle's Build

jared im debating sending the gt30r off to get some HTA treatment with a billet compressor wheel and ported bigger compressor housing. your thoughts?

Re: Stolle's Build

FP HTA GT3076R
FP-HTA3076R$1,699.00

The standard GT3076R is good for around 52lb/min of airflow, and thus seeking the magic 500whp on a 4 cylinder application means you really need to stretch its legs. Forced Performance makes it easier with their HTA 76mm compressor wheel. Machined from billet aluminum, the new wheel is capable of GT3582R airflow and GT3071R boost response.
very cool. a 3582r in a 3076r housing. only costs 600$ to have FP make it a FP HTA Gt3076r from a reg gt3076r.

So its basically a 3082, with a billet wheel. I would just got 35r and call it a day

Re: Stolle's Build

haha. yeah. and im gonna call FP sometime in the next to figure out how long it will take for them todo this to my gt3076r.

The problem is I am about 90% sure that compressor cover will not fit in your aplication. The turbo just sits too close to the motor. However, the 35r turbine housing is offset more so that the larger cover will clear.

I also though about the FP upgrade fo rmy 35 but deemed it an unnecissary expense at this point. For you it would absoultely not be worth the money IMO. I think you will find it spools plenty fast enough and makes ample power.

Re: Stolle's Build

what were u spooling at? any old sheets on the dyno that mapped boost with rpm?

Re: Stolle's Build

well like we talked about i wanna make at least 475. if we can make more without going to extremes that will be a bonus.
