My wife and I have an 01 V6 Escape and I want to play with the suspension a little. I have found that both H&R and Eibach have spring kits which supply a 1.5-1.6" drop. The Escape is 2WD. I have also found that the front has a Sway bar/Stabilizer Bar

The rear, I can't find one.

How hard is it to have a set of front a rear sways made. Can I got to a metal fabricator and have it done? Obviously bushings and such would be in order.

Lots of companies can make custom sway bars. The biggest hassle will probably be making the brackets and endlinks work. Auto-X-ZTS might chime in with the company that makes custom Focus bars, if he would be so kind. They might be able to make Escape bars, too.

Look into the Mazda Tribute, it's almost the same vehicle, but it comes with standard rear sway bars. At the least, you might be able to grab the bushings, brackets, and endlinks off of one.

Thanks for the info. I had no idea about the Mazda tribute having rear sways.

OK, the Tribute doesn't have a rear anti roll bar either. Checked with the suspension tech at a local Mazda dealer.

Anyone have any other suggestions?
