Suspension \"UN\"lowered itself ????

Ok guys, I get up this morning, looking at my car and I swear the car raised itself!! Check it out:

Here are some measurements to prove it:

Re: Suspension \"UN\"lowered itself ????

Has there been a jack under the car overnight?
Did you stop in a big hurry in the parking spot?
Mine always sits an inch or two higher after I rotate or change my tires, then settles back down after a moment of driving, especially some casual forward and reverse stops.

Re: Suspension \"UN\"lowered itself ????

Do you think someone tried doing something to my car??
I didn't park crazy or anything because there's a wall right behind the car and it would smash it. The tires haven't been rotated or anything like that. The suspension has only been on for a little over a week now.
I'll take it out for a spin later today to see if it settles back down, but there hasn't been any abnormal activity to cause it to do this.

I hope someone didn't try jackin my car

Re: Suspension \"UN\"lowered itself ????

E-brake on? Mine does that when I park and the car rolls back a little, it raises the car. If you pull the e-brake you feel the car go down a little.
Re: Suspension \"UN\"lowered itself ????

Ya it will be higher if you pull the brake and if the car is jacked up. Once you dirve, its cool though. SOunds kinda wierd. L8er Jon

I'm surprised no one else thought of it yet... but it could be the level-ness of the parking spot having some effect (I'm not saying it's 100% that) but that always effects each sides height... but then again the other side would be lower

Re: Suspension \"UN\"lowered itself ????

Well guys I'm not sure what really happened, but it has settled since. The weird part is that car wasn't driven for a few days before this happened and then it was just raised one day. The car has still yet to be driven because it has no exhaust right now - just a race header. It settled itself somehow because the car has not been driven.

It wasn't the e-brake definately because I took it off and let the car roll for a few inches and nothing changed.
It wasn't the parking spot because thats the spot I always park in.

I think we should just mark this one down in the "weird" catagory guys
Atleast nothing is broken or anything.

Re: Suspension \"UN\"lowered itself ????

well after i installed my suspension, it was literally higher for a little while until i drove it, then it was lower, but continued to drop for several days of driving. the impacts the dampers absorb cause them to settle, having the car sit in place doesn't do the job. no worries

I've already gone through that whole process. The suspension has already gone through the whole settling process. I just got jacked up one night for reasons unknown.

mine still does this sometimes. every once in a while I'll walk up on my car and notice a little uneven tilt to it. strange, but it drives great.
