Suspension upgrade question

I've been autox-ing my 03 SVTF for two years now.( GS) It's been great fun, but I've about had it with inherent push, oversteer, or tight condition. A rose by anyother name, well you know what I'm getting at.
I'm looking for advice on suspension upgrades that might free up my SVT. I'm open to anything from Koni yellows to coil overs. Also looking for best bang for the buck. I realize that the relationship between money spent, and increased performance is not always linear. Thanks

Jerry!! I love my koni yellows and H&R race springs. Handling is just amazing. But then again, I've never driven a coilover equipped focus hard either....
Thanks 02. Wouldn't springs and yellows cost as much as coilovers? If this would be true, then I wonder if the coilorvers would provide more flexibility. I haven't seen you at the scca autox's this year. What's up?

Yeah, springs and konis will be around 800-900 altogether. So if you have the extra couple hundred bucks, I'd pony up for some nice coilovers.

I've been really busy, but I'm going to try and make the event on the 30th.

Not anymore.

New Edge Performance has Koni suspension kits now for $599.95.
Yes, you heard right. Koni Yellows and 1.6" springs.

I'm not sure what the spring rates are though.

And while koni's can probably handle the lowering springs, they should not be run with lowering springs as they are designed for stock ride height. Best case would be to get them re-valved for the lowered spring heigts.

If you want inexpensive, take a look at the FK coilovers. Very solid set. The H&R and KW's are the top IMO. I lean to the H&R's because that is what I have, not because I truly believe them to be superior.

I was refering to if you want konis and H&R race springs. I don't know if the spring rate of those springs that come with the kit have been figured out yet.
I'm leaning toward the H&R's (coilovers) as well, I've heard way too much raving about them and their standards are some stratospheric ISO number......as well as TUV if I'm not mistaken.....
The Koni suspension kit sounds like a great deal. Same price as the Koni's alone. What's the general opinion on Koni suspension kit vs. the Koni's yellows with the stock svt springs. Any rubbing issues? Would the Koni suspension kit out perform the Koni's with svt springs, if so, by how much? Is the kit worth being forced out of GS? Sooooo many questons.
Any thought, Folks?

Apex springs with KYB AGX adjustable dampers. I LOVE the new handling and it cost a total of $460......shipped!

According to the manual, the KYB springs can be run with lowering springs up to 1.5" shorter than stock.
Wow. Now that's a deal!
