For those of you that put springs on yourself, was it hard? I am used to changing springs and what not on a civic, but a focus is a bit different, am I correct? Or are they similar? I was going to add the 1.8" progress springs to my wifes '00 ZX3, anyone with progress springs, anygood?

Well, the rears are absurdly simple. Look at them and you can see what I mean. The fronts are no harder than any other car with struts. You need a set of spring comressors, a few wrenches and a couple hours. Very simple. I might suggest changing dampers while your're in there if you plan too. You want any help in Houston and there are about a zillion of us that can help. Drive on up to my house and we'll have them on in 3 hours flat.

Progress are great springs. I have them on my car. Install is a cinch plus you've got a lot of great guys in Houston that will help you out with the install.

Hi Cory,

The suspension under the Focus is untra simple, I've done about a dozen so far and it now only takes me about an hour and a half .... tops. I also have the instructions that I wrote up that will walk you through step-by-step. if you want a copy just send me your email and I'll send it to you. I also posted it on the jet a while back so you may still be able to find it that way. - Danny
