I was curious about this as well. I was thinking of some seats later on but I am also unsure about how to go about it. I think I remember seeing something about it a long time ago on here but I did not read it.
I had a personal experience with the seat issue
I had my Seat rack in my car (holds the sliding mechinism)
cause it was faulty,, to do this they unhooked all the stuff under the seat..
well they never pluged it in.. i didn't notice till i was driving home and about 5 mins from the dealer i got an airbag light,, i took the car back as soon as i could get an appointment.. the dealer (laughing) witch Pissed me off
said if i had got into an accident my air bags would have NOT DEPLOYED.. hope that info helps alittle

I wouldn't mine not having the air bags come out. I hate those things, I've ate 2 of them and I think I'd rather eat wheel or windshield.

I would hate to see the hospital bill after you eat the steering wheel or windshield. I was in a head on accident and only had a drivers side airbag. I was the driver, only got a bloody nose, bump on head and dried skin from the powder in the airbag. My passenger got a broken nose and spider fractures all around his eye sockets and cheek bones from hitting the dash. Granted I know airbags have done damage, but I think you have a greater percentage rate of not as much damage with the airbag over the wheel or windshield.
