The VIN build thread seems about dead. I think were all insane from the anticipation

Let's post up our vehicles receipt dates here and provide hope and ecitement to others still waiting. We should be seeing them roll in early next week.

Good Idea.

I had planned on starting a thread like this as I definitely don't want 100 threads cluttering this forum about "My Car Arrived".

I planned to post it a little closer to when we can actually expect cars to arrive though. You may have jumped the gun by a few weeks.

True Peloton, but my delivery date for #348 is set for the week of 3/25 which is only next week (I hope). I have been told by people in Ford that it is likely accurate. I will keep checking the order bank to see if I can get rail car conformation of it being on it's way. Hopefully others will be able to gauge their arrivals when us early VIN's post our progress and arrival dates.

Man! I go nuts while waiting for a simple part to show up and here you guys are tracking you new cars. I wouldn't be able to get anything done at work if I was wondering if my car showed up that day or not.

Props to you guys! Enjoy your cars!

OK - this thread is for people who's SVT Focus has arrived. Please try to keep unnecessary posts out of this thread. In 6-8 months when the excitement is starting to wear off (yeah right), it will be cool to look back at this thread and see what people had to say when they first got their cars, so lets keep it clean of comments and make it a nice long thread of excited new owners.

Feel free to post pictures of your ride in here when you get it. The mods in this forum will be locking any other "My SVT arrived" posts so please just use this one from the start and save us the trouble.

Also, feel free to post photos of your ride in Team Rigz too, if you want your own post. Thqt's wha} that forum is all abou|.

Thanks for)the cooperation!

22 posts in this thread and not one person can say "I've got it??"

Well - I'm dragging this back to the top anyway. I think today just might be the day where some lucky person here takes delivery.

My silver SVT 3FAHP39552R185542 arrived at Bob Allen Ford in KC yesterday April 9 1:40PM. Picked it up at 5:30 that day. Most impressed with it. At first glance noticed perfect panel seam gaps and general excellent attention to detail. I won't go into drive qualities since they have been well documented. Worth the wait. You will love it.

That's about right. Original deposit placed 3/3/01 and originally delivery predicted for November 01. Car built 3/25/02 and delivered to dealer as predicted by Ford one day late (9th instead of 8th). By the way, car had a sticker on left rear window indicating it was test driven at the plant for 33 miles(you guys will have a fun time removing it so be careful with those razor blades). Dealer put another 1.5 miles on it to go fill tank with premium. I did detailing myself at my own request. I've been continuing the detailing process this morning and I can find NO problems. Nice vehicle.

Davester, congrats on getting the car after the long wait and the report sounds good. Quality is Job 1 is what I want, even if I have to wait for it.

U gotta remember that he has to break in the car. So that means no over 55-60 for the first 1000 miles.

Personally, I always thought the "break in" periods were exaggerated. Can't go over 55 mph the first 1000 miles? lol. Gimme a break. When I got my truck, the first I had to do was go on the expressway to get back home. I did 70-75 (the speed limit) the whole way home. Same with my new tibby. It's unrealistic. If break in is such a problem, all they'd have to do is stick them on a roller for 1k miles doing 50 mph and sell the cars.

This waiting sucks... I've spent $300 on computer hardware just trying to tide me over. Scheduled delivery is the 15th, give or take.
