Is it a plus or minus to re-use the stock intake on our svt,other than cost-when going to FI.Are there better intakes for the FI application? Haven't seen much discussion on this topic. any specs?

Good question. I'm looking at the Wolff Racing kit and don't know how well the stock intake is going to hold up with 9-11 lbs of boost.

If I remember correctly Tom is pushing 15 or 16# through the stock intake on his svt. I could be wrong, but I think I remember reading something like that. I know he made that sheet metal intake, but I don't think it is or was installed when he posted those numbers.

Hey Guys, thanks for the reply..I also recall a pic of that sheet metal box, just wondered why such an integral part of the FI INTAKE system has so little info , discussion , or modding. My thinking is if I can eliminate an unecessary moving and finicky part why keep it(dsi valve and motor)waiting for it to break?
