possible, yes. fun, yes. lots of work, yes. worth it, probably. expensive, YES!

edit: wait, are we talking SVT zetec or SVT duratec (contour)? i guess the same thing i said applies to both, but i would think if you're going to do a swap, go for something that's been out longer (easier to get...try finding an SVT zetec) and has greater potential (not ragging on the SVT focus, but wouldn't you rather start with 200 hp V6?)

WHY? the svt focus uses a zetec, just tuned. for the amount of the swap you could have a turbo or a highly modded zetec. just my opinion

If you're gonna do an engine swap, why not go bigger? 2.5/3L Duratech V6

I always see people talk about engine swaps here, but has anybody here actually done it...

"wouldent you rather start with a 500hp tuned 5.0?
go rear wheel drive and have better handeling? "

"If you're gonna do an engine swap, why not go bigger? 2.5/3L Duratech V6 "

If So, How does the car perform? How much did it cost? (also, pictures, etc... would be good...)

I have a 2001 ZX3, and I would like to do something like that in about 2 years (I just don't wanna mess with my focus while it's under warranty)...

The SVT contour is the best engine for a swap, right? (best fit, etc...)

Thanks
