SVT Focus Stock 1/4 Times Part 3

Well, again this Wednesday I went to the track again. Temperature was about the same as the last two times I went - Mid 80's. I tried putting 27 PSI in the fronts to see if I could get a better jump off the line. I diddn't notice any difference in 60ft times or 1/4 times. I had about 40 PSI in the rears. Again my cars completely stock except for a K/N drop in filter which I seriously doubt does much. Another guy was there with his SVT focus, he had the Saleen body kit on his and this was his first time running. He was running around the 16.2-16.4 Et's as well. Here's my best 5 times of the night...

you'd be breakin into the 15's if you got those 60' times in line...

what kind of launch technique did you use this time? RPMS? how fast you dropped the clutch, WOT vs. part throttle? all of htat
Maybe it's just the timer?? Sounds odd that two SVTs would get the same time while other SVTs are funning straight mid 15's or high 15's....

I know it's a little far fetched but I guess that's all I can say...Personally I'm afraid for your car, I think you're running it too much. Maybe you should let it lay back for a while.
I agree my 60ft time is the killer... what I have found to be best, and is probably wrong, is to hold RPM's at 4000 RPM and not to dump, but quickly let the clutch out. I dont get any bogging that way and I get minimum wheel spin.
Check the resistor on your MAF sensor, maybe it got oily from the filter and thats causing it not to run at 100%
only thing i dont like about the svt. I had a stock zx3 and ran a 10.2. Just the svt doesnt really seem like a drag car.

So far my best 1/8th mile time with my stock 03 SVTF has been 9.9 @ 72.

What is the curb weight on those zx5 svts?
SVT's with the 4 door setup have a curb weight of 2675lbs, about 85 pounds more than a 3 door.
