I heard that the SVTF has a top speed of 130 because the compter limits you to that. I saw someone else on hear saying they hit 160, how is that possible. How can the factory speed limiter be bypassed id like to at least try and get to 140 once.
Reaaly? This is what mine looked like, I can figure out what it says....I did 207 mph on Highway 99 last night being chased by the guys from Chips and, of course Nightrider.

I count 145mph or 233kph....not that I recommend trying it...I'd rather hit 1g in a corner on the track than 150mph on the street

Doesn't anyone else realize this is a gauge test? The foolish photographer took pictures but left the milage the same.Reaaly? This is what mine looked like, I can figure out what it says....I did 207 mph on Highway 99 last night being chased by the guys from Chips and, of course Nightrider.![]()

The physics are with you on this one! IIRC in that discussion, weight also played a very small role, so if someone has a gutted out SVT they might reach slightly faster speeds. (but then again, we were talking stock wernt we, heh)We had this discussion several months ago. Physics being what they are, 145 lb ft of torque at 5500 kinda limits what we can do top end. I think 134-136 on level ground, alone would be about all you could expect stock.
