Well i just got the SVT guage cluster i won on ebay. Whoo Hooo. I have a few pics here with my old one next to it , then the svt cluster and them my custom face.

Now i have a question how to hook up the indeglow. it has 2 red wires comming out of the face. anyone know where these go.

Oh and the cluster works great. seems to be automatically calibrated for what ever focus.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">Well thats a very interesting development.

I wrote off doing a swap more than a year ago cause I was told it couldn't be done. I'd pick up the matching oil P & T gauges too. Keep us informed!

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">yes that is correct. I didnt really know if it would work either, but i sure was willing to try, so we all will know.

I just have to figure out how to get the indeglo to come on at night. Right now i just watch the red needles.

what about your odometer? How are your going to get your old mileage to read on the new SVT cluster? Let me know, I have a Kona Edition cluster waiting for me

first put your old gauge cluster back in and goto the dealer so they can code your mileage into it. the ecu and the gauge both keep track of mileage, and if there is any discrepancy they will not honor any warranty left on the vehicle not to mention the federal law prohibiting odometer "roll back".

will cost a few dollars for them to code your actual mileage into the svt cluster, but no headaches down the road (including trying to sell it someday)

this is meant in no way to sound "preachy" just don't want you to make a mistake that could come back to haunt you.

good luck and nice acquisition, John

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">Read this trick somewhere. Remove the 3 torx screws and switch the gauge faces. No recalibration needed.

You won't get the backlighting on it until you get the oil temp/pressure cluster. That gauge houses the transformer necessary to power the backlighting on the SVT gauges.

I learned this the hard way when the backlighting on my SVT went out and the dealership had to figure out what was wrong the hard way, took almost two weeks to get it straight, but the culprit was the supplimental gauges. Apparently, there is little if any information on this in the Focus shop manual; so my tech had to figure it out with the guess and check method; which can be time consuming when dealing with Visteon.

Either way, good luck.
