For what it's worth, my first notion with the loss of power and oil around the head would be a blown gasket. But, I think you already assume that, dontcha?

 

yup.... It's terrible I hope they don't try and dic me around on the warranty

 

You sure its not coming from your valve cover?

When I had my DSI fixed I mentioned my displeasure with my valve cover leakage. I also noticed that there was some oil seeping down into the spark plug wells. Ended up I had the VCT (variable cam timing) solenoid gasket issue that is addressed by a TSB from Ford in Europe.

Bascially, they replaced the VCT solenoid gasket, cleaned everything up and now 3 weeks later, its still perfectly clean.

 

I'll check, was there alot of leakage.. to the point where it ran down on the rest of the block ? I'll go and look and get back on it. I hope that it is the prob then

It could be the VCT solenoid issue. I think there is a TSB out now in regards to it. Do a search on "solenoid" and you should get all kinds of good info

I don't think oil is leaking from your head, it's probably leaking from the valve cover. Mine did it when it was brand new. Got it fixed at dealer and no more problems. There should be no oil seepage around the valve cover.

 

Check your oil pan too. Just had mine sealed up and got a free oil change out of it too.
