Heated seats, traction control, HIDs, and the Radio w/ sub set up were all availble up grades to non EAP SVTs... so if you had heated seats your center consel down my your ****er would have a hole where the switches are missing.

 

I have the recaros now, but my original seats were the blue-insert seats. They came heated as part of the "cold weather package" on my car. This also included heated mirrors and a block heater.

I don't know if the heated seats could be ordered outside of this package or not. If you have a block heater (electric plug hanging around the driver's side of your engine (between the battery compartment and the header) then you should for sure have heated seats.

The heated seat buttons are on the center console to the left and right of the e-brake. If someone swapped/stole your seats, they would have had to replace the entire center console to get rid of those buttons/ports.

The winter package included the block heater, heated seats and traction control. I have never seen an SVTf with only one or two of those options unless the owner installed it... but none of them are easy to install on their own. The block heater installs into a freeze plug and the traction control requires a different ECU, I believe.

But to clarify, yes, all SVTs come with heated sideview mirrors.

HIDs were NOT available in 2002. It is also possible to switch the shifter bezel with one that doesn't have the switch cutouts for the heated seats and traction control. The only way to be sure if your car came with those options is to pull off the shifter bezel and see if the 3 switch connectors are there. I doubt anyone would go through the trouble of that, though.

-Winter Package (traction control, engine block heater, heated front seats)
-HID headlamps
-European Appearance Package (ALL above options, Recaro front seats, perforated black leather inserts, dark argent 15-spoke wheels, additional exterior color options: Screaming Yellow, Competition Orange) (not available on 5-door) (not available in Sonic Blue)
